A Christmas Market took place between (30 Nov 2002 )12-5 pm (shortened by torrential rain) on The Green, Middle Street  and Cross Street (with these roads being closed except for emergency access)  The Memorial Hall facilities were open for refreshments, Santa's Grotto and Bell Ringers. Opened by Town Crier, Beavor Band ,Dickensian Singers, Owls  on The Green.  St Andrews Church and Tower  open .
Next Christmas Market 2003 to be arranged.
